I think I have at least 2 poems in compilations that i'll never hear of just by posting my stuff up on about 8325285 poetry forums. I got an email a few months ago titled something like 'Your poem..*name*' but it was from a site that annoyed me with it's crappy layout so I deleted it without reading. Which is why I think i've got two out :/

Like you though, most of it's just the stuff I really enjoyed writing.

I am just about 17 therefore
I have exceeded the amount of wisdom and experience
i had previously acquired, through it all
I've witnessed excitment and breakdown,
New life and tragic death and extracted knowledge from all
I've danced with the de*** and I've eaten in God's house
Felt pain, felt joy, held women in my arms
Slept inside and outside of hospitals. Waiting
Contemplating the meaning of my existence on this earth
Soaking wet from the deep sea of thoughts
I have learned that wisdom only is packaged with age

ive had the same thing from poetry.com , i had a prize winning poem that they wanted to put in a book and sell to me,,they also are goin to try and invite you to vegas or some shit for a poetry convention,,youll get more letters and it will show how far your poem has made it but jus like somebody else said the catch is tryiin to get you to purchase the poetry book,,i never did so my poem just like eybody elses is in some book on somebodys shelf...idk

I had this a long while back....got excited looked it into and found out it's basically a scam....Poetry.com is a vanity publisher, they will only publish your poem if you pay them, otherwise it won't get published.
