Gay people should be able to make hip hop to
The game really needs some changes
I mean yall keep hating on people like Wayne for making hip-pop
But yall keep putting out the same type of songs
Let women, young people, and gay people get a spot in the game
Then youll see how great hip hop can be...REAL TALK

think about what people say when they spittin, MONEY, SEX, DRUGS *least in the mainstream*
now imagine MONEY SEX AND DRUGS in flows by a gay dude
he aint talkin bout fuckin many many hoes and shit...he talkin bout suckin dix and gettin anal fucked why? cuz thats what they do and music is reflection of self

why aint they in the game out and open? cuz dont nobody wanna hear nothing as explicit as rap in a gay fashion...thats just gross.

    Re: Hip Hop and Homosexuality

all im tryna say is: we went trhu the same thing when white rappers like eminem came up in the game, and sold more/just as many records as biggie.
one day there will be a 12-year old kid who's gonna sell more than wayne, one day there will be a gay-male who sells more than outkast, one day there will be a female who sells more than biggie and outkast together. need i say more?
hip hop is a way of living, and you gotta see it as a movement. keep it moving, keep it changing.
and anyway yall (i mean ''straight'' guys/most of them) keep on talking about how and why they went to jail, and talk about it real hard like you're a real men now. but what yall dont talk about is how you got banged in the shower. why? because it doesnt sound hard. but compare yourself to gay rappers and see how there are plenty things both of yall can relate to...

considering the fact that hip hop sales are dwindling every year, I'd say that hypothesis is pretty inaccurate.

lol my final project for statistics is "Is Hip Hop Really Dead?" My group is doing data analysis on hip hop album sales from 1997-2007 compared to all other genres. It's been on a steady decline for a few years now, but so have all album sales. We've yet to determine if hip hop is worse tho. We have to finish over the next couple weeks.

    Re: Hip Hop and Homosexuality

I don't know if what i'm saying will make much sense, man, but i'll give a shot at it....

Well I have no problems with gays or fags or whatever you want to call them. No man should be judged because of it- whether it has to do with hip-hop or not. Than on another hand, I wouldn't want to hear some guy on the radio spittin' or singin' about how some other guy makes his life complete....,, I have a daughter, too. I don't think children are ready for it, either, ya know? Sometimes I think it's just best for those type of people to stay in the closest. Not because gay people shouldn't have the right to share what relationship they have going on. But because some gay people only get together for sex (not all), and get a little too out of hand with it... It's just, I don't think children are ready to hear about this kinda stuff, or see... and it's bad enough some kids already are..

But as far as a man or lady speaking about it in a song.. explaining to people the love they share and whatever. well I think it'd be good and people will eventually understand gay people more. that will help others cope with it more.. and realize that just because people are dating/marrying the same kind doesn't mean they are not the same as you.

And than it won't leave kids wondering and making fun of them.

    Re: Hip Hop and Homosexuality

if a rapper wants to write songs about his man lover i would be fine with it, i have the right to turn off the radio or choose not to listen. but overall i tihnk the mainstream perception of hip hop as money gear and bitches prevents a gay rapper from doing well since he wouldnt fit in with this mainstream formula for hip hop. being a gay rapper really puts urself out there for criticism and insults from the hip hop artists as well as fans and i dont think any gay rapper would want to deal with that. although i believe that with the state hip hop is in right now i think a gay rapper would bring better lyrics and song content than the "rappers" out right now. and i think this says alot about the state which "hip hop" is in
