Try and clip a couple of bars that have no vocals and loop them. Its very hard to remove vocals that are already there

Why would you think you could magically filter out one sound out of a bunch of sounds playing at once? mixing is science, not wizardry.

If the vocals are singing a couple of notes those notes have a frequency range. filter out the range with EQ to destruct the music - itll sound pretty fucked up if its a wide range though - especially the mids.
