Word. Appreciate that. Yeah man, like, I'm improving but it's still a massive headache, especially when you listen to your own music so much in the process you end up thinking "damn maybe I should re-record this to get the sound right." By the time it's mixed and mastered you literally don't ever want to listen to the song ever again. Lmao.

What's the timeframe for track submission? I'm writing material all month in the cave for my own album. I could probably get something together for you in a few weeks.

Yeah I’d imagine it’s pretty loose I’ve only got one verse recorded for my collab with bag, need to write and record a second still and my solo track I’ve only got the hook penned and half a verse that I’m thinking about changing anyway

hotdamn Mark this goes hard. super good looks for submitting.. shit definitely sets a precedence. i was really feeling that ending arrangement too, that shit can be sampled itself, as is & made into a banger of a beat too!!
when i think of all the great mixtapes i’ve heard (which number in the many’s) there is always one thing that sets them apart from the aight & ok mixtapes i’ve heard (which number in the very several many’s).. and that thing is the intro track. an intro can make or break a collab piece, regardless of how good the rest of the tracks are. it’s a high bar to reach.
when it comes to this track? it’s definitely got that “intro” feel to it.
when i was imagining the arraignment of the collab, i had envisioned for the intro a kind of DJ produced track with vocal clips from all of us participants being scratched & mixed over a beat. i don’t know how feasible that would’ve been or if we could even scrounge up a dj capable of what was needed, so i was planning on having a brainstorm session with everyone else once things got further into motion, but honestly i’m perfectly ok with this being the intro if everyone else is on board.
with that being said, i’m still completely open to ideas for intros, cuz nothing is set in stone at this point, but best believe that if we do decide on an alternate intro, this would def be the first track that follows.
