A gathering of gloom. Tragedy paints in neutral stained finish
Apathy: a room arranged in loosely staged interests
Estranged. Vintage.
decors worth the penny for her thought. Strange, ain’t it?
It rained recently. The air still thick from sudden heavy load
Tangential plots; aimless walk under the silver full moon
Perhaps it was a little too late for “too soon”
An endless debate, is it not? I was gone by noon
Not long after, I’d soon miss imparted kisses
How she’d randomly started shit.
Showing me the meaning of what apart meant

Dust settles like verdicts on unspoken crimes,
Each silence a sentence served in toneless times.
The couch sags with stories — some hers, some mine,
All wrapped in linen too threadbare to define.
She moved like a metaphor I couldn’t unpack,
A thrifted soul with trauma stitched to her back.
We’d orbit in the black like planets out of sync,
Saying everything except what we actually think.
In voice so very tired to feel anything.
